CPET stands for Crystallized Polyethylene Terephthalate. It’s a form of PET plastic that has gone through a crystallization process, making it much more heat-resistant. CPET trays and containers are suitable for temperatures between -40˚C up to 220˚C (-40˚F up to 420˚F). They are made for direct contact with food and are BPA-free. CPET is recyclable (PET #1), making it more recyclable than most other plastics.
