Frequently Asked Questions

Find clear answers to common questions about CiMa-Pak products, services, and food packaging solutions.

What is the largest tray that works with the CiMap?

The largest tray is our 2227 series trays one up but also do not forget that you can also do the 2171 series trays two at a time.

How fast is the MAP cycle time with this tabletop system?

Typically, depending on your level of vacuum, it is in the 25-30 second range.

How large is the CiMotion?

The dimensions are 28" x 24" x 25" high and the CiMotion Tabletop fits really nice on a counter.

How fast is the CiMotion?

The CiMotion is really fast. If you watch the video while Sonja is packaging you will really see the speed. Remember Sonja is presenting while she is doing the packaging and even so her speed is really quick.

Is the CiMotion capable of sealing more than one tray at a time?

The video shows only one meal tray being sealed at a time, the 2227 series tray. However, with a smaller tray like the 2171 series takeaway containers, you can seal two trays per cycle. And, if you look at our 0080 bowls you will be able to seal four of the bowls per cycle.

What voltage does this use?

It uses 110VAC

How can I replace a broken chain on a Manual sealer?

This simple process will help keep your machine functioning if the chain needs to be replaced. Before starting this process ***please make sure***: - The tray sealer is unplugged - The chain is loose 1. Check that the power is off 2. Place the machine on its side

What’s the difference between PET, APET, and CPET?

PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is the base plastic. APET and CPET are both types of PET. APET (amorphous PET) is usually clear and is the version used for cold or room-temperature foods, such as salads, desserts, or refrigerated items. CPET (crystallized PET) is typically opaque and heat-resistant; it’s designed for hot meals and can be used in the oven or microwave. APET = for cold/refrigerated use, CPET = for hot/heated use, and both are made from PET.
